Eddisons, Fountains High School Extension

We provided acoustic survey, noise assessment and design advice for proposed new facilities at Fountains High School, Burton upon Trent, including a sports hall, MUGA, outdoor sports pitch, car parking and associated fixed plant. The work included long-duration environmental sound monitoring, assessment of sports and playground activity, review of nearby residential receptors, advice on acoustic barrier mitigation and later BS 4142 assessment of fixed plant associated with the sports hall. The project required consideration of both normal school use and potential additional community use, with acoustic advice provided to support the planning and design process.
