Crown Paints, Hull

We provided survey, assessment and ongoing consultancy input for the established Crown Paints manufacturing site at Sculcoates Lane, Hull, in relation to operational sound affecting nearby residential properties. The work included BS 4142 assessment of HGV movements, forklift truck loading, shunter activity and other external operational sources, together with advice on practicable mitigation and noise management. Further review work was then undertaken after operational changes had been introduced, including quieter vehicle movements, changes to reversing alarms, improved loading procedures, staff training and other source-control measures to reduce sound emissions from the site.
