Harron Homes, Bleachcroft Way, Barnsley

We provided acoustic survey and design consultancy for a large residential development at Bleachcroft Way, Barnsley, from the outline planning stage through reserved matters and later layout revisions. The site was affected by a railway line, nearby commercial premises, supermarket deliveries and fixed plant, requiring assessment of environmental and commercial sound sources, negotiation with the Local Planning Authority and detailed acoustic design advice for dwellings. The work included façade, glazing, ventilation, ceiling and acoustic fence specifications to achieve suitable internal and external residential noise conditions.
