MWP & AAE Environmental, New Mineral Extraction Quarries

We have undertaken noise impact assessments for a number of proposed new mineral extraction and quarry sites, including assessments prepared for Local Authority planning applications and Environment Agency permit applications. The work has included baseline sound surveys, measurement of existing quarry plant and HGV activity, ISO 9613 noise prediction modelling, assessment at nearby dwellings and consideration of appropriate criteria under minerals planning guidance and BS 4142 where required. These projects often require careful treatment of operational phases, working depths, haul routes, screening effects and the balance between practical mineral extraction and protection of residential amenity.
