Globe, Brayford Wharf

We provided acoustic survey, assessment and design advice for the proposed conversion of first floor commercial space at One The Brayford, Brayford Wharf, Lincoln, to residential apartments above ground floor retail use. The work included long-duration environmental sound monitoring, sound insulation testing of the existing separating floor, assessment of fixed plant and retail noise transfer, and advice on glazing, ventilation, floating floor construction and flanking control. The project required careful consideration of residential amenity in a city-centre waterfront location with commercial uses below and around the proposed apartments.
