Ashcourt, Pocklington and Hull, Soil Washing Plants

We provided noise impact assessments for Ashcourt Group soil and aggregate washing facilities at Pocklington and Hull, in support of Environment Agency permit applications. The work included measurement of operational plant, HGV movements, loading activity, screening equipment, conveyors, pumps and associated processing operations, with prediction of sound levels at the nearest residential receptors. The assessments used BS 4142 methodology, detailed propagation calculations, noise contour modelling, consideration of barrier effects from buildings, bunds and stockpiles, and comparison with measured background sound levels to demonstrate the likely noise impact of the proposed operations.
