We provided acoustic survey, assessment, design and validation work for the residential development at Ashby Market, Scunthorpe. The site required detailed consideration of road traffic, nearby commercial activity, licensed premises, car wash activity, vehicle repair operations and fixed plant, together with the acoustic implications of the ventilation and overheating strategy under Approved Document O. The work included environmental sound monitoring, BS 4142 assessment, entertainment noise assessment, acoustic specifications for glazing, ventilation and boundary treatments, internal sound validation testing and later pre-completion sound insulation testing to demonstrate Building Regulations compliance.
