LNT Extra Care Homes, Various Sites

We have provided acoustic survey, planning-stage assessment and Approved Document O input for a series of LNT care home developments, including sites at Clitheroe, Rugby, Ellesmere Port and Nuneaton. The work has included environmental sound monitoring, assessment of road traffic, school activity, nearby commercial premises and fixed plant, acoustic specifications for glazing and ventilation, BS 4142 assessment where required, and acoustic input to overheating control strategies under Approved Document O.

The projects have required a balance between achieving suitable internal sound levels for residents, demonstrating planning and Building Regulations compliance, and avoiding unnecessary barriers or over-specification where a more proportionate design response is appropriate.
