Travelodge, Mansfield

We provided acoustic survey, design and post-construction testing services for the Travelodge hotel at St Peters Way, Mansfield. The work included review of the Travelodge acoustic performance requirements, assessment of the external road traffic noise climate, advice on façade, glazing and ventilation design, review of internal separating walls and floors, fixed plant noise assessment and post-construction sound insulation and internal noise testing. The project required careful coordination between Building Regulations, Travelodge’s own acoustic criteria, the preferred construction methods and the practical limitations of a hotel site close to busy roads and adjoining commercial uses.
