Noise Impact Assessments, Noise Surveys & Acoustic Surveys
Noise Impact Assessments, Noise Surveys, Noise Assessments and Acoustic Surveys are different terms commonly used to describe the same overarching acoustic consultancy service. The terminology varies depending on project type, sector and planning context, but the underlying work is the expert assessment of noise constraints, impacts, acoustic design and mitigation requirements for new development and existing sites.
In practice, the term Noise Impact Assessment is most often used where commercial, industrial, recreational or other non-transport noise sources may affect nearby dwellings, while acoustic surveys are commonly prepared for residential developments affected by transportation noise such as road, rail or aircraft.
This work forms part of our wider acoustic consultancy services — further details of the specific services we provide are set out below.
